38 tickets issued in bar checks
CHAMPAIGN -- State and Champaign police issued 38 citations earlier this month as part of the Operation Campus Tap program.
According to a police report, officers visited five bar locations and one street location in Champaign on April 9-10.
Officers issued 32 citations for possession and purchase of alcohol by minors, five citations for possession of alcohol on pubic property and one citation for the presence of a minor in a liquor establishment.
